Network Connections panel
The Network Connections panel, located at Control Panel > Network Connections in the WinGate Management console, lists all of the network connections that have been discovered by WinGate on the server where it is installed.
WinGate will automatically update any network interface as it becomes available in the operating system and list it on the Network Connections panel. General details are provided so you can see at a glance what interfaces WinGate has discovered.
The Network Connections panel will also display the Usage classification it has given to the interface. This classification plays an important role in the way that WinGate will treat any communication to and from this interface during its operation.

Type
WinGate distinguishes between whether the interface is a network interface type connection or whether it is a dialup type connection.

You can enable or disable the network connection by right clicking on the connection in the Network connections panel and selecting Enable / Disable from the menu.
Usage
WinGate will automatically attempt to classify the Usage (i.e. what type of network the interface is connected to) depending on what IP address details have been set on this network connection. This is used by WinGate for the wide range of purposes. You can set what type of usage the connection has manually by selecting an option from the General tab of the WinGate specific network connection properties.

Indicates the speed of the connection.
