The Permissions panel, located at Control Panel > Permissions in the WinGate Management console, provides easy access to all of the permission objects that have been registered with the Permissions system by different modules and components in WinGate.
Rather then configuring permissions by using the Permissions tab (located in each configuration throughout WinGate) the Permissions panel lets you configure any of the registered permission objects in the one place.
Permission objects are organized into a hierarchical tree like structure by the Permissions system, to allow for the concept of parent to child inheritance of permissions. Each WinGate component creates a branch in the tree which will hold all of the permission objects registered by that component or module. This is illustrated on the Permissions panel, where modules will register a parent container that contains all of the child permission objects for each module. This branching also allows permissions that are set on any parent container to flow through to all children in its branch.
