Library

The Library tab in the policy editor allows you to store configured policy items so that they can be reused when creating and editing other polices.

This useful when you need to have the same types of policy items performed across a range of different policies.

Note

Some policy items are only available in the policy editor for certain types of events. If these items are added to the library, then they will only be available (in the library) when you are configuring policies based on the same event, or event type (compatible event types).

Once placed in the Library, the policy item can be adjusted as required from within the Library. Alternatively, when you drag a policy item from the Library on to a policy worksheet, you can customize that particular instance of that item to suit the requirements of that particular policy.

Adding and using items in the Library is a simple process:

  1. On the policy editor worksheet select the configured policy item you wish to add to the Library and drag it on to the Library tab in the policy editor toolbox.
  2. When creating or editing other policies simply drag the desired policy item onto the worksheet for use with that policy.

You can use basic Full-Text Searches against the page title and body to find matching articles. Use the following search modifiers to refine your query:

  • event management (no quotes) will find all pages containing the words "event" OR "management"
  • "event management" (with quotes) will find all pages containing the phrase "event management"
  • +event -management will find all pages containing the word "event", AND NOT the word "management"
