The Appearance tab of the Timeline settings allows you to set the how the different types of activity will be displayed on the Timeline panel.
The Timeline is configured to apply a default color and style for all activity types and event markers. These can be individually customized for the different types of activity, by selecting the desired activity listed in the Activity type window.
On the Timeline panel, the different types of activity are displayed as solid bars throughout the course of their duration. When the activity has ended, the bar will will change color to indicate that the particular activity has ended. Using the Appearance tab, you can change the color and style of active and inactive bars depending on your preferences.
Event markers are used on the Timeline to show points when particular system events take place. As with the Activity bars, you are able to customize the color and style that will be used when these events occur on the Timeline.
