Credential rules panel
The Credential rules panel, located at Control Panel > Credential rules in the WinGate Management console, will list all of the different credential rules that have been created. You can create as many credential rules as you need for machines on the LAN that have special credential requirements.
Credential rules can be created for each different machine on the local network if required. When creating a rule, you are required to specify the criterion that each machine should match (either an IP address, Computername, or Physical address (MAC)) for that rule to apply.
Within a credential rule you can specify a user assumption for the particular machine the rule applies to.
You can also specify whether credentials established by one session from the machine to WinGate, should be used for other sessions from that machine. This option allows you to create a credential rule for multi-user machines (Terminal servers) on the network. When this type of rule is created, all users who are accessing the Internet from the terminal server through WinGate will be seen as individual sessions and so can be forced to authenticate themselves (if required). This is the equivalent to the Multi-user machines feature in WinGate 6.
