The Advanced tab of the WinGate specific network properties, allows you to configure several advanced WinGate networking options for the specific network connection.
Override interface MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit)
Here you can set the Maximum Transmission Unit size that can be sent out from this interface. This is helpful when experiencing packet loss and issues with VPN resource access.
Override interface metric
With this option you can set a routing metric for the interface that will override the routing metric that is set on the interface automatically by the operating system.
The values are 0 - 50 (0 is given as a value to allow you to set the lowest possible metric, since the lowest interface metric the operating system will use is 1)
Enable ARP responder
When this network connection receives an ARP request for an IP address that is not its own, the interface will send its own Physical (MAC) address as a response.
This setting allows you to configure IP addresses that this interface will return its Physical (MAC) address for when requested.
You can only configure this ARP responder option with IP addresses that have been set on other network connections that are present on the WinGate server.
