Installing the WinGate Management console

WinGate allows you to access a remote WinGate installation by installing only the WinGate Management console on the computer that you wish to connect from.

To install the WinGate Management console:

1. Run the WinGate installer executable on the computer you want to connect from.
2. After the initial Welcome, and EULA (End User License Agreement) screens, you will be presented with the Select Packages screen.

   

   Close

3. Check only the WinGate Management option to install only the console, and then click Next.
4. On the Location screen enter a location where the WinGate Management console files will be installed (usually this is Program Files\WinGate).
5. Click Next on the Ready to install screen, to complete the installation.

Once the installation is complete, you can open the WinGate Management Console from two places on the computer:

1. WinGate Management icon placed in the Quick launch section of the Windows task bar.
2. The WinGate\WinGate Management entry under Programs on the Windows start menu.
