Disabling the HTTP Cache
If for any reason you need to completely disable the HTTP Cache, you can do so in several ways:
-
Disable the HTTP Cache module from loading:
- Open the WinGate Management console.
- Navigate to Control Panel > Modules.
- Double click on HTTP Cache Engine, and deselect Load Module.... You will then need to restart WinGate.
-
Disabling the cache in the HTTP Cache UI:
- Open the WinGate Management console.
- Navigate to Control Panel > HTTP Cache.
- On the HTTP Cache Panel, right click and select Cache settings from the menu to open the Cache settings dialog.
- On the General tab deselect the Enable HTTP cache option.
Note
The HTTP Cache module provides a Enable cache/Disable Cache control point that can be used on the WinGate dashboard (located in the Monitoring section of the WinGate Management console) to enable or disable the cache.
