Data system - Dashboard control points

On start up, the HTTP Cache module will register with the WinGate Data module, the parts of its design that can be controlled by a corresponding switch on the WinGate dashboard. The Data module provides WinGate with a dashboard where you can create switches to control common tasks from different modules, in an easily accessible central location.

Control points registered by the HTTP Cache:

  1. Enabled

With this control point you can create a switch on the dashboard that allows you to enable or disable the HTTP Cache completely.

  2. Edit Cache settings

This control point will cause a dashboard switch to open the Cache settings configuration available on the HTTP Cache panel.

  3. Purge

This allows you to create a switch on the dashboard that will purge the HTTP Cache according the settings on the Purging tab of the Cache settings configuration.

  4. Reset Stats

This control point will cause a dashboard switch to reset the statistics for the cache.

Creating dashboard switches

Whenever you create a switch on the dashboard you are always asked to select a suitable registered control point to base the switch on. The control points detailed above allow for you to create useful switches that you can use to control the HTTP Cache from the dashboard.
