Edit email domain - Domain Aliases
The Domain Aliases tab can be used to maintain the list of aliases for this domain rule.
A domain alias is used where WinGate may have more then one domain (e.g. WinGate.com, Qbik.com) and users will have email addresses in each domain. Rather then configuring a domain rule for each domain, you can simply add one domain rule on the Domains tab of the Email panel. Then add the other domains to the Domain Aliases tab that this first domain will also receive mail for.
For example, a record for Qbik.com could be configured on the Domains tab. If a user has an email address such as bob@qbik.com and WinGate also hosts the WinGate.com domain, then by adding WinGate.com to the domain aliases list for qbik.com, any mail addressed to bob@wingate.com will be accepted and treated as though it is being delivered to bob@qbik.com.
This reduces the administrative burden on having to configure domain rules and email address handlers etc. and is handy for catch all type email situations.
