Mail Settings - Trust Policy

The Trust Policy tab on the Mail Settings, allows you to set custom policies on how the WinGate SMTP server should trust or distrust certain senders when it is receiving mail to be placed in the email delivery queue. There are a number of policies created by default (Shown in the Policy screen). To enable/disable the default policies simply uncheck the box beside each one.

To add a new policy:

  1. Click on the Add button to bring up the Edit mail trust policy dialog.

  2. Select the Action, either Trust or Distrust
  3. Set one condition in the Where drop down menu.
  4. Enter the appropriate condition in the Matches field that corresponds to the Where field to determine when this policy will be enforced (e.g. Where: sender email address Matches: Jblog@WinGate.com).
  5. Make sure the Policy Enabled check box at the top of the dialog is ticked.
  6. Click OK. The new custom trust/distrust policy will now be listed on the Trust Policy tab of the Mail Settings.

You can use basic Full-Text Searches against the page title and body to find matching articles. Use the following search modifiers to refine your query:

  • event management (no quotes) will find all pages containing the words "event" OR "management"
  • "event management" (with quotes) will find all pages containing the phrase "event management"
  • +event -management will find all pages containing the word "event", AND NOT the word "management"
