The HTTP Cache module in WinGate registers a number of items with other WinGate systems. These HTTP Cache module items provide tools and enhancements to the other modules while the HTTP Cache is loaded in WinGate.
The HTTP Cache module publishes the Cache object which contains the Cleanup() method for cleaning the HTTP Cache when using a WinGate script system, or a configuration that has access to the Symbol browser.
e.g. A script could contain:
Cache.Cleanup()
This would clean the HTTP Cache according to the rules defined on the Purging tab of the Cache settings.
The HTTP Cache module registers the HTTP Cache control policy item with the WinGate Policy system. Like other policy items, the HTTP Cache control item can be placed in the flow chart of a policy to determine if a request (currently being processed by the policy) will be served from the WinGate cache or not.
The HTTP Cache module in WinGate registers with the WinGate Data system, a number of points in its design that can be controlled by creating a corresponding switch on the WinGate dashboard. The Data module provides WinGate with a dashboard where you can create switches to control common tasks from different modules in an easily accessible location within the WinGate Management console.
