Importing and Exporting dashboard items

When you are in Design mode, you can export any dashboard item (meter, switch, indicator etc) you have created to a file. These exported items can then be imported on to another dashboard as you require.

To export a dashboard item :

1. Open the WinGate Management console.
2. Navigate to Monitoring > Dashboard.
3. On the appropriate dashboard, select Design from the Tasks menu to put the dashboard into Design mode.
4. Select the appropriate item that you want to export, and select the Export item option on the Dashboard toolbar. This will bring up the locator dialog where you can select a suitable name and location to save the .wgdashitems file that you will be exporting.
5. Click Save to return to the dashboard.

To import a dashboard item:

1. Open the WinGate Management console.
2. Navigate to Monitoring > Dashboard.
3. On the appropriate dashboard, select Design from the Tasks menu to put the dashboard into Design mode.
4. Select Import item from the Dashboard toolbar. This will bring up the locator dialog where you can select the .wgdashitems file that you will be importing.
5. Click OK to import the selected item.
