Server requests
Found in the FTP and POP3 Proxy network service properties, the Server requests tab is used to configure the way that each service will handle Server (non-proxy) type requests.
-
Reject request
WinGate will reject any non-proxy requests received (Default).
-
Pipe request through to a predetermined server
If you select this option WinGate will pipe the request to another server at the destination and port specified in the Server and Port fields.
Typically this could be a FTP or POP3 server somewhere on your network or on the Internet. It is effectively an active mapped link that listens on the same port as the proxy service.
