Time-range check
The Time-range check policy item allows you to match the moment an event occurs, against a single specific time period as part of policy evaluation.
The Time-range check is useful in situations where you require the policy to check that the event is happening during a single specified period of time. This may be a time period on a specific date, or the time period may span more then just one day. The Time-range check provides both a calendar, and time setting so you can choose a specific date and time for the start and finish of the time range.
To use the Time-range check policy item:
- Select or create a policy to open a policy editor.
- In the Items section of the policy editor toolbox, select the Time-range check policy item and drag it on to the worksheet. This will open the Time-range check properties.
- Select the Start date/time and Finish date/time for the Time-range check and click OK to return to the worksheet.
- The Time-range check item will now blink, allowing you to give it a meaningful name so you can identify it easily in the policy evaluation flow.
